                                                      Pastor Leon C. Leath is the Senior Pastor of The Historic Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church
                                                in Defuniak Springs, FL, the church committed to “Making Disciples -1- Soul at a time.”

                                                       A native of Gainesville, Florida, Pastor Leath received an Associate of Science Degree in General
                                                Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice both from Troy University. He enlisted in
                                                the United States Navy in 1985. Pastor Leath served on active duty for over twenty three years, including
                                                overseas tours in South Korea and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Pastor Leath received and answered his
                                                Ministerial Call in 1996 while stationed in Cuba.  Through many trials Pastor Leath has persevered thru
                                                faith and service to others in an array of locations and Ministerial assignments. He served as the Ship’s
                                                Lay Reader responsible for all religious duties in the absence of a Chaplain onboard the USS
                                                Ticonderoga (CG-47), Military Law Enforcement Outreach Minister Glendale Baptist Church
                                                (later named The Sanctuary at Kingdom Square), English Pastor for the oldest Presbyterian Church in
                                                Masan, South Korea (Moon-Chang Presbyterian Church) and most recently as an Associate Minister
                                                at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church until his call to the pastorate at Mt. Nebo.

Furthermore, he is a passionate advocate for community transformation and leadership development, he is an active member of the Santa
Rosa County Chapter of NAACP, Fellowship Churches of Santa Rosa County and the Santa Rosa County S.A.F.E.R. organization which
is committed to Emergency Management.  Pastor Leath is married to his lovely partner in life, Dr. Kimberly M. Leath.
